Every October and April, the University of Missouri High School invites Full-Time Diploma students to apply for a great opportunity: membership in our chapter of the National Honor Society.
“The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.” —About Us, National Honor Society
At the University of Missouri High School, NHS members meet with fellow students in a staff-guided online setting to develop and complete service projects.
Our National Honor Society Members will:
- Engage socially with peers and mentors
- Practice leadership and collaboration skills
- Give back to others through real world service projects
- Enhance college, job or scholarship applications
Basic Application Criteria include having completed 6+ high school credits, 3+ credits being from Mizzou K-12, and 3.25+ cumulative GPA. With verification, transfer students who were members at past schools can earn membership. For full criteria, see the NHS Bylaws
